About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and reliable Maintenance Officer to ensure the safety, appearance, and functionality of our buildings and grounds. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who can work independently, manage competing priorities, and take initiative.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct general building, equipment, and grounds maintenance
• Plan, prioritise, and complete daily maintenance tasks
• Supervise contractors or provide guidance to others as required
• Ensure compliance with all relevant WHS standards, policies, and procedures
• Maintain accurate documentation using MS Office and industry-related software
• Uphold organisational values through professional and respectful interactions with residents, staff, and stakeholders
What You’ll Bring
Essential Criteria:
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in maintenance, property, or groundskeeping
• Unrestricted Australian working rights
• Strong ability to prioritise workload and work independently
• Ability to supervise contractors and support others when required
• Knowledge of Work Health & Safety (WHS) principles
• Practical building and grounds maintenance skills, with a proactive and reliable work ethic
• Computer literacy, including MS Office and industry-related applications
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence
• NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain
• Blue Card (Working with Children Check) or willingness to obtain
Desirable:
• Trade qualifications in horticulture, building, electrical, plumbing, or related fields
• Experience working in the NDIS sector
• WHS-related qualifications
