Disability Support Worker-SIL (Loganholme)

About the Role
We are seeking compassionate and reliable Disability Support Workers to join our team supporting a client in a Supported Independent Living (SIL) home in Loganholme. The role involves providing person-centered support to assist the client with daily living activities, personal care, and maintaining independence in a safe and respectful environment.
Shifts Available: Morning, Afternoon, Active Night Shifts, Weekends
Key Responsibilities
Provide personal care assistance, including hygiene, grooming, and daily living tasks
Support the client with manual handling and hoist transfers safely
Assist with CPAP setup and monitoring during sleep or rest periods if required
Assist with mobility and transfers following safe manual handling procedures
Support the client with household tasks such as meal preparation, light cleaning, and laundry
Encourage independence, participation, and community engagement
Maintain accurate documentation and follow individual care plans
Ensure the client’s safety, dignity, and wellbeing at all times
Essential Requirements
Manual handling and hoist experience
Experience supporting clients who use CPAP machines (or willingness to learn)
NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
First Aid & CPR Certificate
Valid Driver’s Licence
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable
Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, or a related field
Previous experience working in a Supported Independent Living (SIL) environment
